About Electron John
An innovator who happens to be one of the industry's best instructors.
John Forro started AST Training in Cleveland, Ohio, in the year 2000. Since then he's trained over 10,000 professional technicians across the US, Mexico & Canada.
A working technician since his teens and a shop owner for 20 years, his specialties have always been drivability and electrical repairs — and he's built a serious name in hybrid and EV curriculum. He pioneered Mode 6 for the industry in 1999, won the STS best-selling award for his lab scope manual, and has taken home the Motor Top 20 Tool Award six times.
